POSITION SUMMARY: EMC Captiva Developer / Engineer
As a Senior Captiva Application Engineer/Architect, the ideal candidate will help internal business organizations to define and implement complex integrated imaging solutions that optimize their technology to support and grow their business.

They will design and architect imaging solutions to meet internal businesses requirements based on the Captiva suite of products. Provide quality, error-free application engineering, imaging efficiencies, quality standards and software integration for internal customer use. Lead the development of design requirements, design, test, document, and implement systems and programs. Support and manage day to day Captiva environments, including; script and module management, change control processes, implementation reviews, and configuration and release management. Provides technical briefings to internal teams and management, mentoring of internal and external team members, and responsible for capacity and disaster recovery planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Architects and/or Engineers Captiva based solutions
· Work with Business Analysts to take business requirements and turn them into technical solutions
· Design and document imaging solutions and Institute scalable solutions for internal business partners
· Configure and use Dispatcher for Input Accel modules to classify images automatically, manually (if required), and extract and validate data.
· Serves as technical engineer on multiple projects.
· Evaluate new releases, fixes, security updates & service packs, etc, for supported applications/products and perform the necessary installation on all supported server platforms.
· Create and maintain documentation which includes processes and procedures, products evaluated, certification scripts, test, and findings.
· Develop and maintain a set of tools, scripts or utilities to serve as an automated method for addressing business challenges.
· Lead the coordination of operational activities and development activities related to the Captiva suite of products.
· Provides assistance in developing Use and Test Cases for Early Adopters / Pilot environments.
· Supports and manages Captiva Environments
· Inventory collection and reconciliation
· Capacity planning and management for the Captiva environments
· Maintaining Service Catalog requirements
· Responsible for the management of multi-tier applications in a distributed Windows, LINUX and UNIX heterogeneous environment.
· Work closely with clients, vendors, and other technical staff to identify and resolve complex issues or problems that impact the environment
· Maintains system availability and coordinate issue resolution.
· Able to work weekends as well as evenings to allow for maintenance windows during off-peak hours as well as to ensure
· Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
· Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 7 years of professional IT experience
Preferably architecting, implementing or administrating an enterprise document imaging solution in a financial or technology industry.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Business, or equivalent professional education/experience.
Solid technical foundation in infrastructure, Captiva installation/configuration.
In depth knowledge of an Enterprise Document Capture system using the Captiva application suite with a minimum of 5+ years.
3+ years experience with Input Accel Configuration and Management
2+ years experience with Dispatcher Development Experience on the following modules (Classification, Recognition and Validation Modules)
Strong background in usage of all classification and extraction dispatcher components.
3+ years experience with Windows OS platforms, servers and applications; Understanding of registries, system settings, similarities and differences is required.
3+ years experience with LINUX OS platforms, servers and applications. Experience with UNIX Platforms a Plus
2+ years experience of Visual Basic and Shell scripting (ASP, HTML, VBScript, Javascript, C Language).
Completed at least 8 projects using Captiva suite of products
Deep knowledge of Captiva architecture and suite of products
Knowledge of Documentum Architecture and Components
Design enterprise level solutions
Project implementation methodology & lifecycle
Strong working knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and Windows based environments at a command line level
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN design and TCP/IP configurations
Solid software configuration management and release management methodologies.
Solid patch/application management process knowledge and/or experience
Experience with one or more relational databases is required.
Experience with High availability, Performance Tuning, Load Balancing, Distributed architecture in a high volume imaging environment
Experience with VMWare
Performs other duties as required

Technical Skills:
Required Skills:
· Expert knowledge and hands on experience with Captiva Dispatcher for Input Accel and Captiva Modules: Dispatcher Classification, Dispatcher Classification Edit, Dispatcher Recognition and Dispatcher Validation.
· Expert knowledge and hands on experience writing SQL queries for Oracle database
· Expert knowledge of Documentum Query Language
· Experience in writing VBA scripts for Input Accel
· Experience in Documentum a plus
· Working knowledge of Linux and Windows administration
